Formal traditional driven shooting begins on October 17th through to February 1st. There are home beats providing very exciting, varied and testing shooting. All pheasants are driven forward to guns; there are usually four drives before lunch, followed by one or two drives after lunch, with a late evening Duck flight if required. Any numbers to suit requirements 150-300 head. Numbers can be arranged to suit the group. From late October mixed days are available with 150/300 driven Pheasants/Duck followed by Snipe & Woodcock drives.
In November, all December and January there is good Woodcock shooting when the birds are migrating from Scandinavia to the United Kingdom and Ireland. Many guns have an enthusiastic interest in the Woodcock and therefore the mixed shooting and variety we can offer has proved extremely popular and exciting.
Several good small lakes, together with the famous Duck Marsh Llyn Llywenan, one mile long, all provide wonderful Duck and Goose shooting under natural conditions. Duck only days are available from October 10th to November 10th. Early morning duck flighting with maybe some geese is available before breakfast on driven days if required. Evening flight pools provide excellent and popular wild Duck shooting at the end of the day. Driven Snipe also provide good sport late October, November, December and January..
